Mass Guidelines in Rockchapel Church

Thanks to everyone for their help, patience and understanding as we resumed Masses during the week. We ask you to continue to offer your full co-operation with the stewards at all times

The religious obligation to attend Sunday Mass continues to be suspended by our bishops.

* Disinfection of hands and respect for social distancing are the most important aspects of countering infection.

* To facilitate distancing, every second seat is closed off in the church. In the long aisle, 2 people per seat OR a family. In the side aisles - 3 per seat OR a family.

*Collection will be taken at the door.

* No standing at the back of the church.

* Toilet will not be in use at present.

* People coming for communion are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines and sanitise their hands at the provided stations.

*From the side aisles people  can proceed as normal in a one way system. From the long aisle, people are asked to come to Holy Communion seat by seat, allowing the people in the seat in front of you to return, before you proceed.

*Holy Communion will be distributed from the front of the church at present.

*Holy Communion should only be received on the hand at the present time.

* On leaving the church, people are asked to sanitise their hands and exit one seat at the time and people are asked not to congregate at the exits
